What is "phishing" and how could it affect me?
A Phishing site is a fake website that tries to steal your personal details, usually relating to bank account details, usernames, passwords, credit card details, or other confidential information by tricking you into believing that you are browsing a legitimate website. You can even land on a phishing site by mistyping a URL (web address).

How do I protect myself from phishing?
Be vigilant. Be suspicious of any unsolicited emails you receive, even if they seem to come from a trusted source. If you doubt an email you receive, you can contact the organisation that has sent it through customer service helpline number listed on its respective website. Go directly to the website from your browser, don't call on the number listed in the email.
Which websites are protected against Phishing?
There are a large number of sites (over 800) that you are automatically protected against Banking & Finance, Payment Processing, Auction, Utilities, Entertainment, Social Networking, etc. The list of protected sites is growing with evolving technology and the Secure Browser software automatically updates itself with the new sites.
I have a PC, a laptop, a mobile phone and a tablet, can I protect them all?
You can install the PC Secure Browser software on maximum 3 PCs or laptops that use a Windows operating system and up to 3 Android and Apple smartphones and tablets. When you have installed the software on your device, you will notice that you have consumed one of your licences on your PDM dashboard when you are logged into the PDM website, along with the number of Secure Browsers still available to install.
How do I install the secure browser on my Mobile or Tablet?
For Mobile and Tabs, click on the ‘Download’ link under the Mobile/Tab circle in the Secure Browser tab. The appropriate links are enabled based on whether the application is being accessed from a PC/Laptop or a Mobile/tab. On clicking the download link, the application will navigate you automatically to the appropriate store (Apple or Play Store) based on your device. Proceed with the installation as usual.

Please note that you will need your ‘Membership #’ and your email address handy to provide them during the one time registration process. You can find your Membership # on the Welcome Email, you received when you joined the program. You can also specify your device name at the point of the one-time registration process. You can view this name in the Secure Browser once your device is registered successfully with us.
Can I free up a licence for a new device if I have used up my limit of installations?
For a PC or Laptop you need You can uninstall the software from your device and then advise us that you need to free up a download on your PDM dashboard by sending us an email displayed on the Contact Us page. Please follow appropriate steps as per your device (Android or iOS) one of your existing devices and then advise us that you need to free up a download on your PDM dashboard by sending us an email displayed on the Contact Us page.

To uninstall the software from a PC or laptop:
 
  1. Go to the control panel
  2. Find the area for changing or uninstalling a program
  3. Select My Digital Protection software
  4. Click on "uninstall"
To uninstall the software from a mobile phone or tablet:

You can uninstall the software from your device and then advise us that you need to free up a download on your PDM dashboard by sending us an email displayed on the Contact Us page. Please follow appropriate steps as per your device (Android or iOS)

You can then continue to use the Mobile Secure Browser on the new device you are currently on.
